Steps to take to fully set up your IBISWorld Claude Connector and how to test it.To successfully set up the IBISWorld Claude Connector, you will need:An active IBISWorld login – specifically, the username and password
An active IBISWorld subscription with MCP access enabled – if you are unsure if you meet this requirement, reach out to your relationship manager to confirm
An active paid Claude license – i.e. a Team or Pro license
Configuration Steps#
1.
Within the Claude Application, navigate to the menu and select Customize.
2.
Within Customize, select Connectors, click the plus sign, and then "Browse Connectors".
3.
Search for IBISWorld and click the plus sign.
4.
Then complete the sign in steps in the browser tab that appears.
5.
You will then be brought to an IBISWorld login page. Please login with your IBISWorld username and password.
6.
Once you login, you'll be brought back to Claude and successfully connected to the IBISWorld MCP Server.
7.
Select "always allow" for the IBISWorld tools to easily get your users up and running.
Testing your Connection#
Once you've set up your Connection, use the following test prompts to ensure your connection is fully up and running. Ensure you use a prompt that covers a geography within your subscription with IBISWorld.Example test prompt:
Using the IBISWorld MCP server, summarize the industry outlook for the hotel industry in <US, UK, Germany, Canada, Australia>
If your connection is properly set up, you will see the IBISWorld MCP called, and the relevant tools loaded. If you are unable to successfully call IBISWorld's MCP, please review the steps above and then reach out to your IBISWorld relationship manager for assistance.
